This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.
The WebGL2RenderingContext.createVertexArray()
method of the WebGL 2 API creates and initializes a WebGLVertexArrayObject
object that represents a vertex array object (VAO) pointing to vertex array data and which provides names for different sets of vertex data.
Syntax
WebGLVertexArrayObject gl.createVertexArray();
Parameters
None.
Return value
A WebGLVertexArrayObject
representing a vertex array object (VAO) which points to vertex array data.
Examples
var vao = gl.createVertexArray(); gl.bindVertexArray(vao); // ... // calls to bindBuffer or vertexAttribPointer // which will be "recorded" in the VAO // ...
