XDomainRequest.open()

Obsolete
This feature is obsolete. Although it may still work in some browsers, its use is discouraged since it could be removed at any time. Try to avoid using it.

Non-standard
This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.

Opens an XDomainRequest which is configured to use a given method (GET/POST) and URL.

Syntax

xdr.open(method, url);

Parameters

method
The HTTP method to use for the request. (GET or POST)
url
The URL to which to send the request.

var xdr = new XDomainRequest();
xdr.open("get", "http://example.com/api/method");
