Secure context
This feature is available only in secure contexts (HTTPS), in some or all supporting browsers.
The Coordinates interface represents the position and altitude of the device on Earth, as well as the accuracy with which these properties are calculated.
Properties
The Coordinates interface doesn't inherit any property.
- Coordinates.latitudeRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the position's latitude in decimal degrees.
- Coordinates.longitudeRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the position's longitude in decimal degrees.
- Coordinates.altitudeRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the position's altitude in meters, relative to sea level. This value can benullif the implementation cannot provide the data.
- Coordinates.accuracyRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the accuracy of thelatitudeandlongitudeproperties, expressed in meters.
- Coordinates.altitudeAccuracyRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the accuracy of thealtitudeexpressed in meters. This value can benull.
- Coordinates.headingRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the direction in which the device is traveling. This value, specified in degrees, indicates how far off from heading true north the device is.0degrees represents true north, and the direction is determined clockwise (which means that east is90degrees and west is270degrees). Ifspeedis0,headingisNaN. If the device is unable to provideheadinginformation, this value isnull.
- Coordinates.speedRead only Secure context
- Returns a doublerepresenting the velocity of the device in meters per second. This value can benull.
