Client.url

This is an experimental technology
Because this technology's specification has not stabilized, check the compatibility table for usage in various browsers. Also note that the syntax and behavior of an experimental technology is subject to change in future versions of browsers as the specification changes.

The url read-only property of the Client interface returns the URL of the current service worker client.

Syntax

var clientUrl = Client.url;

Value

A USVString.

Example

self.addEventListener('notificationclick', function(event) {
  console.log('On notification click: ', event.notification.tag);
  event.notification.close();
  // This looks to see if the current is already open and
  // focuses if it is
  event.waitUntil(clients.matchAll({
    type: 'window'
  }).then(function(clientList) {
    for (var i = 0; i < clientList.length; i++) {
      var client = clientList[i];
      if (client.url == '/' && 'focus' in client)
        return client.focus();
    }
    if (clients.openWindow)
      return clients.openWindow('/');
  }));
});
