This image illustrates measure assignment in geometric segment operations: splitting (part a), clipping (part b), and concatenation (part c). For splitting and clipping, the resulting measures reflect their values in the original segment; however, for concatenation, the measures for the second segment in the concatenation are shifted by 20 so that they continue after the end measure (50) of the first segment.
