STARTUP Procedure

The STARTUP procedure starts an OLAP session without attaching any user-defined workspaces.

STARTUP initializes the OLAP processing environment and attaches the read-only EXPRESS workspace, which contains the program code for the OLAP engine.

Note:

You cannot execute this procedure from within the OLAP Worksheet. You must execute if in a SQL tool such as SQL*Plus.

Syntax

STARTUP ( );

Example

The following example starts an OLAP session.

EXECUTE dbms_aw.startup();
